How do you know if you have found your true calling in life? Your calling in life is an intersection of three things: passion, purpose and profit. My name is Claire Dizon Balais, and I have found my calling here in the life insurance business. My love for this career was galvanized by two important events. In 2003, my mom had pancreatic cancer, and we were unprepared financially to cover for the huge hospital bills. She passed away after two years, and her death was a big blow to us emotionally and financially, as our life savings were exhausted in funding for her hospitalization. The second life event happened when a neighbor I had initially been talking to for life insurance met a car accident the day that we were supposed to finalize his life insurance plan. My 27-year old neighbor left 4 young children with his wife who had no job. I was deeply affected by this tragedy, because I felt that I did not push hard enough. Ever since that day, I vowed that I will do everything that I can to close every person who is willing to listen. In a span of 3 years, I have qualified to the Million Dollar Round Table thrice, including this year and I serve over 200 clients. I have been the Top Advisor of Peak Wealth Solutions for the past 2 years. I am also starting my own team of passionate and hardworking advisors, so that we can save more Filipinos against the financial risks of life.
